Go GoDaddy!

I have to put in a plug for GoDaddy.com. I recently moved my domain hosting to GoDaddy’s hosting service. I’ve been using them for 2+ years now on domains and almost a year on another website hosting account. In the past I couldn’t have been happier with their services. After transfering all my files, I noticed my Contact Us page was returning a LONG list of errors after you hit “submit” – NOT GOOD!

Well, I know enough about Linux (to get myself in trouble) and noticed it was a mail error from within the file system that was causing my form not to work correctly. I know it wasn’t my page’s code since I’m running the same code on 4+ other accounts and having no problems at all. So, I resorted to using GoDaddy’s support line.

We all know that just thinking about having to contact “Customer Service” puts a bad taste in your mouth – especially if you’ve ever had to deal with that certain cellular phone company ;-)

Almost immediately I received a response that they could not troubleshoot coding errors but recommended I use their simple form mailing system – which didn’t work either. Again I sent an email to them and explained my findings a little more. To my surprise, I soon received a reply email that their “Advanced Technical Support Team” was on the case.

Just a few hours later, I tested it and IT WORKED!! Way to go guys! I have no idea what they had to do or even if my assumptions on the mail file setup was correct – but they fixed it! Thats all I cared about. Their simple email back to me later that day, “The issue with your hosting account has been resolved. Mail is now being sent correctly.” – Awesome!

GoDaddy has increased my loyalty to them as a customer – and I would recommend their services to anyone.
