Fourth Quarter
Well, its 4th Quarter for all you who measure your year that way… for those that don’t… Its now October in case you haven’t noticed. Where has the year gone?
As you might recall (but probably not since nobody really reads this mindless junk I post to the world wide web thinking somebody out there really cares) I posted in January about my goals for 2008 – here’s a snippet:
“So, what is in store for this year? Yes, definitely MORE GOLFING is on the list again for this year, but you’ll have to stay tuned to future posts to find out what the others are (since my wife tells me that it’ll jinx me if I publish them here for the world to see). Lets just say that my theme this year is becoming Healthier, Wealthier and Wiser. I’m really looking forward to 2008 and have total confidence that I’ll be able to keep up my winning streak.”
Well, I failed at more golfing – only went twice thanks to the guys at work (thanks for both going with me on those 2 occasions, and for keeping me too busy to go more than twice). As for the Wealthier and Wiser part… I think I’m actually stupider (is that a real word?), and there probably isn’t very many people out there that are actually Wealthier with this whole stink’n mess of an economy we got. So, that only leaves one item left to actually work towards… Healthier. About 4 weeks ago we started eating healthier, and we feel tons better already – if only that scale would start giving us more motivation.
So, why even bother with this post? I don’t know. I guess I just gotta put this mark in the sand so I can start moving forward and hopefully upward. I do have big plans for this 4th quarter and in the end hope to realize at least most of my goals (maybe I can even get in one more round of golf?). I promise my next post will be a little more up-beat.
Good luck to all of you out there that have accidentally stumbled upon this blog ’cause I know you didn’t come here on purpose… Anyway, the country is $700 billion more in debt today. That ought to make your own personal financial situation a little more bearable, huh? Maybe not.

I always check your blog out. I like to hear what your great mind has to think about. Sorry about the golfing goal, but I definitely think you’re wiser and healthier at this moment. Way to go. Keep up the good work!
