SEOized – Search Engine Optimized
I was absolutely SHOCKED, as I’m sure these visitors where too, when I discovered some recent Google and Yahoo! searches that resulted in visitors coming to MY website. I don’t profess to be an SEO expert (that’s Search Engine Optimization for those that didn’t know). That being said, I have done a fair amount of research on SEO in order to help my company website(s) gain page rank and it appears that research has paid off…
Here’s a little test (feel free to humor me and try this for yourself):
First, Open Google and type in: try safari 4
Simple enough, isn’t it? Would you believe my itty bitty blog appeared in the #3 position!!??!! I would have never guessed either. I came in higher than some apple discussion forums, apple news sites, etc. This one was my post on my experience after I downloaded and installed Safari 4 (beta) and absolutely loved it. Second, Open Yahoo! and type in: beautiful s10 truggy
And there I am in the 4th position (3rd website)!! The link on Yahoo! goes to my general blog instead of my post on it specifically. This was my post on a super cool 4×4 buggy that the guys at Xtreme 4×4 built. Read the post here.
Pretty cool, huh?! I thought so, and I hope you found this somewhat interesting. I guess this means I need to put together my thoughts and ideas on getting your site(s) optimized for search engines. I’ll work on that.
For now, thanks to all those that visit my site, even if you do stumble upon it by mistake when you’re looking for something really cool like thoughts on upgrading to Safari 4. 
*All these tests were performed at the time of this writing – hopefully I can even move up in rank with my other posts over time as well.
